In Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir, occupying forces have further intensified restrictions ahead of Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi's scheduled visit on Saturday.

The Special Protection Group has taken over security arrangements in Katra, Reasi district, where Narendra Modi is set to inaugurate a bridge.

Indian police Chief in IIOJK chaired high-level meetings to further tighten restrictions in the name of "foolproof" security.

In a related development, Indian forces continued cordon-and-search operations in Poonch and adjoining districts.

Meanwhile, All Parties Hurriyat Conference Spokesman Advocate Abdul Rashid Minhas in a statement in Srinagar strongly condemned the arrest of six youth by Indian police in Badgam district.

Peoples Democratic Party leader Iltija Mufti accused the National Conference of siding with the BJP at the cost of Kashmiris’ interests.

Speaking to media persons in Srinagar, she said the National Conference had repeatedly sacrificed public interests for power.

In Paris, the International Kashmir Peace Forum France has urged the global community to send a fact-finding mission to probe Indian atrocities in the occupied territory.

In a statement, the Forum stressed that post-2019 developments have eroded the fundamental rights of Kashmiris, calling it a collective punishment that demands international accountability.
