Acting President Syed Yousuf Raza Gillani and Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif  have paid tribute to the security forces personnel for killing five Khwarij during exchange of fire between security forces and Khwarij in South Waziristan.

In a statement, the Acting President said the martyred security forces personnel embraced shahadat while fighting terrorists valiantly. 

He said the entire nation values brave jawans for rendering sacrifices in defence of the motherland.

The Acting President reaffirmed commitment to continue operations to crush terrorist elements.

He also prayed for the elevation of the martyrs' ranks in the heaven and patience for the families.

Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif, in a statement, expressed grief and sorrow over the martyrdom of security forces personnel Naib Subedar Taib Shah, Lance Naik Gulab Zaman, Lance Naik Muzammil Mehmood and Lance Naik Habibullah in the exchange of fire.

Shehbaz Sharif prayed for the martyrs and also granting patience to their families.

Shehbaz Sharif said the sacrifices of our brave jawans will never go in vain.

The Prime Minister expressed the resolve that war against terrorists will continue till complete elimination of terrorism from the country.
