Minister for National Health Services Mustafa Kamal has assured that efforts will be made to improve the healthcare sector to better serve the underprivileged patients.
Speaking to the media during his visit to PIMS in Islamabad on Thursday, he highlighted the importance of introducing innovations such as telemedicine to ease the burden on existing hospitals.
Mustafa Kamal said they are working towards implementing one patient, one identity system, which will not be confined to a single hospital but will be extended to healthcare facilities across the country.
The Minister for National Health Services said the Prime Minister will soon inaugurate projects in PIMS. He said that seven state of the art operation theaters have been established in PIMS.
