In Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir, the All Parties Hurriyat Conference says the Modi-led regime's claims of normalcy cannot obscure the harsh realities on the ground, as occupied Jammu and Kashmir continues to suffer under intense repression.
In a statement in Srinagar, APHC spokesman Advocate Abdul Rashid Minhas expressed deep concern over the relentless bloodshed of innocent civilians.
He deplored that the situation has worsened, especially after the recent elections, which the Modi regime has bragged about as a solution to the Kashmir issue.
Minhas highlighted an alarming rise in human rights violations, including extrajudicial killings, enforced disappearances, fabricated encounters, and other brutal tactics aimed at suppressing the Kashmiri people’s right to self-determination.
He called on international human rights organizations to urgently address these brutalities inflicted on the Kashmiri people by Indian troops.
On the other hand, Personnel of Indian Army's Rashtriya Rifles, paramilitary Central Reserve Police Force and Indian police launched cordon-and-search operations in Pulwama and Kupwara districts.
At least two youths were arrested during the operations.
