Maqbool Elhai Malik (Senior Analyst): Dialogue is sole way forward to resolve differences between confronting parties and groups. The government may show little bit affectionate to take the dialogue process forward. Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has rightly said that dialogue process must move forward. However it is a fact that the government has no power to brush aside the case against opposition leadership and issues of litigation will have to be resolved through appropriate legal channels alone. The government must not let the dialogue process breakdown at any cost because it is hard to resume the dialogue process between the government and opposition once it is broken. The government may also engage other political parties to convince the opposition back to talks. The issue of talks with opposition has been part of agenda before the federal cabinet so it shows the government’s commitment for talks and taking opposition onboard on issues of national importance
