Chief of Army Staff General Syed Asim Munir has said all economic indicators are positive, expressing the confidence that they will improve further in the coming year.
Addressing the business community in Karachi, the Army Chief expressed full confidence in Pakistan's bright and stable future.
He noted that the clouds of despair that overshadowed the country a year ago have now dissipated.
He questioned where are the people now who were spreading despair and talking about default? Should not they be held accountable?
Syed Asim Munir said nothing including politics, is more important than the country, emphasizing we should all prioritize Pakistan over personal interests.
The Army Chief said we have no identity other than Pakistan. No matter how many difficulties we face, if we all stand together, no one can harm us.
He urged overseas Pakistanis to bring their investments to the country, saying this would contribute to the nation's prosperity. Only Pakistanis can bring economic stability.
The Army Chief said terrorism is backed by illegal businesses with certain elements behind them.
He said ensuring digital security of the people is the responsibility of the state.
