It is for the first time that Pakistan has been invited to an Arab League Summit and it is a big achievement as far as the foreign policy of Pakistan is concerned. There are major Israeli atrocities unleashed on unarmed Palestinians. It is unfortunate that the Muslim Ummah is unable to form a mutual collective response against Israeli aggression so for. I am hopeful for the positive outcome of the summit as the participants may reiterate for a two-nation theory to the existing situation in Gaza. The summit may come out with a plan for a peaceful solution to the Gaza situation. But Israel, on the other hand, is unwilling to talk about the issue as it doesn’t feel any tangible threat to its security. The newly elected United States President Donald Trump always opposed the war and we must hope that he will play his role to defuse the tension in the Middle East.

The Extraordinary Joint Arab-Islamic Summit to discuss Israel’s ongoing wars in the Gaza Strip and Lebanon was the need of the hour. Israel is expanding the spam of war to other Middle Eastern countries. Israeli forces are now targeting Lebanon and I am afraid that if the world does not come up with a solution it will expand further. The genocide committed by Israel in Gaza and Lebanon must be stopped on immediate basis. There is a need to continue efforts to establish an independent Palestinian state on the lands of 1967 with East Jerusalem as its capital. Israeli aggression is becoming a threat for international peace. It is the time for Muslim Ummah to stand united to counter the conspiracies against the Muslim world.
