Minister for Maritime Affairs Qaiser Ahmed Shaikh has invited the Korean government and investors to explore opportunities in Pakistan's port and shipping industry.
He was talking to the Korean Ambassador to Pakistan, Park Ki Jun, during a meeting held in Islamabad.
The Minister said countries like UAE, Saudi Arabia, Denmark, and Malaysia have already made significant investments in Pakistan's ports. He expressed hope that Korean investors will also seize the opportunity.
Qaiser Ahmed Shaikh highlighted several other sectors where bilateral collaboration can be strengthened including renewable energy, solar, wind, hydropower, urban planning and transportation projects.
He also appreciated the existing educational exchange programs between the two countries.
The Minister reiterated Pakistan’s commitment to furthering the partnership with Korea across key sectors, with the aim of creating a mutually beneficial relationship for both nations.
