In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, Indian troops in their fresh act of state terrorism martyred two Kashmiri youth in Baramulla district today.

The youth were martyred by the troops in a fake encounter staged during a cordon and search operation in Sopore district, today.

Meanwhile, Indian forces’ personnel continued their cordon and search operations in different areas of Srinagar, Bandipora, Kupwara, Islamabad, Kishtwar and Doda districts, further worsening the already grim situation in the territory.

The All Parties Hurriyat Conference spokesman, Advocate Abdul Rashid Minhas in a statement in Srinagar strongly condemned the escalating state sponsored repression in IIOJK.

He highlighted the use of military force, extrajudicial killings, arbitrary arrests, the confiscation of properties and the unlawful dismissal of employees as part of a broader strategy to silence the Kashmiris’ voice and crush their legitimate political aspirations.

The APHC called on the global community to take immediate action against India's blatant disregard for human rights and international law in IIOJK and pressurize New Delhi to work towards a peaceful, just and lasting resolution to the Kashmir conflict.

On the other hand, senior APHC leader Mirwaiz Umar Farooq, while addressing the today congregation at the historic Jamia Masjid in Srinagar today, said that the immense suffering and hardships faced by the Kashmiri people are directly linked to the unresolved Kashmir dispute.

He urged both India and Pakistan to engage in a constructive and meaningful dialogue to reach a just and lasting resolution to the dispute.
