Punjab Secretary School Education Khalid Nazir Watto has stressed the importance of women's empowerment for the country's development.

Addressing a function in Radio Pakistan Lahore to mark International Women’s Day on Saturday, he highlighted the Punjab government's efforts to protect women in various fields.  

Speaking on the occasion, the Director General Women Development Department Saman Rai encouraged women to recognize their strengths and contribute to building a balanced society.

Renowned Columnist Sadia Qureshi has highlighted that women in every field has proved their strength.

Renowned columnist and poet Sughra Sadaf and Lieutenant Commander Navy Ammara Imtiaz Khan and Filmstar Nisho Begum also addressed on the occasion.

The event brought together women from diverse backgrounds, including government officials, academics, poets, writers, and actresses, to share their insights and experiences.

Earlier, Station Director Radio Pakistan Lahore Dr Sohail Ahmer Basra, in his welcome remarks, emphasized Radio Pakistan's commitment to providing a platform for women to showcase their achievements and struggle.
