Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has stressed the need to further deepen cooperation between Pakistan and Turkiye in trade, investment and defence.
He was talking to Turkiye Ambassador Irfan Neziroglu, who called on him in Islamabad today.
The Prime Minister expressed satisfaction over the growing bilateral cooperation between the two countries and articulated his gratitude for Turkiye's consistent support to Pakistan on Kashmir.
He said Pakistan will also continue to lend its strong support to Turkiye on its core interests.
Shehbaz Sharif welcomed the newly appointed Ambassador and expressed hope to work closely with him to further strengthen bilateral relations between the two countries.
He conveyed his best wishes to President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and reiterated his invitation to the Turkish President to undertake an official visit to Pakistan at his earliest convenience.
Ambassador Irfan Neziroglu assured the Prime Minister of his full commitment to further strengthen the friendship bonds between the two countries.
During the meeting, regional situation, particularly in Gaza and the Middle East, also came under discussion.
