Shehbaz Sharif allocates portfolios to Ministers, Advisors, Special Assistants

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has allocated portfolios to the newly inducted Federal Ministers, Ministers of State, Advisors, and Special Assistants.

Federal Minister Tariq Fazal Chaudhry has been assigned the portfolio of Parliamentary Affairs; Ali Pervaiz Malik, Petroleum; Aurangzeb Khan Khichi, National Heritage and Culture; Khalid Hussain Magsi, Science and Technology; Muhammad Hanif Abbasi, Railways; Muhammad Mueen Watto, Water Resources; Muhammad Junaid Anwar, Maritime Affairs; Muhammad Raza Hayat Harraj, Defence Production; Sardar Muhammad Yousaf, Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony; Shaza Fatima Khawaja, Information Technology and Telecommunication; Rana Mubashar Iqbal, Public Affairs Unit; and Syed Mustafa Kamal, National Health Services, Regulations, and Coordination.

Minister of State Malik Rasheed Ahmad Khan has been assigned National Food Security and Research; Abdul Rehman Khan Kanju, Power, with the additional portfolio of Public Affairs Unit; Aqeel Malik, Law and Justice; Bilal Azhar Kayani, Railways; Keso Mal Kheal Das, Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony; Muhammad Awn Saqlain, Overseas Pakistanis and Human Resource Development; Mukhtar Ahmad Malik, National Health Services, Regulations, and Coordination; Talal Chaudhry, Interior and Narcotics Control; and Wajiha Qamar, Federal Education and Professional Training.

Among Advisors, Dr. Syed Tauqir Hussain Shah will oversee the Prime Minister’s Office; Muhammad Ali will manage Privatization; and Pervez Khattak will handle Interior Affairs.

Special Assistants to the Prime Minister include Haroon Akhtar, who has been given the portfolio of Industries and Production; Huzaifa Rehman, National Heritage and Culture; Mubarak Zeb, Tribal Affairs; and Talha Burki, Political Affairs. 

Consequent upon the allocation of portfolios to the Federal Ministers and Ministers of State, the Prime Minister has also modified portfolios of following Federal Ministers:

Khawaja Muhammad Asif will be the Minister for Defence, Azam Nazeer Tarar, Law and Justice with additional portfolio of Human Rights; Musadik Masood Malik, Climate Change and Environment Coordination; Attaullah Tarar, Information and Broadcasting; Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui, Federal Education and Professional Training; Qaisar Ahmed Sheikh, Board of Investment; Abdul Aleem Khan, Communication; Chaudhry Salik Hussain, Overseas Pakistanis and Human Resource Development, while Tanveer Hussain will lead the National Food Security and Research.
