The All Parties Hurriyat Conference has said that Indian forces and police establishment are snatching rights of people at their free will in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir.
According to Kashmir Media Service, APHC spokesman Advocate Abdul Rashid Minhas in a statement in Srinagar said that every institution in India was treating Kashmiris as their enemies, who had no human rights.
He said unless the draconian Armed Forces Special Powers Act is abolished, the gross human rights violations and atrocities will continue and Kashmiris will keep losing their rights and voices.
He condemned the Bharatiya Janata Party led Indian government, its police and agencies for the attachment of properties belonging to Hurriyat activists and individuals advocating their right to self-determination and plebiscite.
The APHC spokesman said that Indian authorities were desperate to change the narrative on the Kashmir dispute. He said that dialogue was the only option to resolve the lingering Kashmir dispute.
He urged the world human rights organizations to take cognizance of the extremely grave human rights situation in the occupied territory and highlighted it at the global level.
He said the silence of the Indian rights activists, humanists, print media, writers and columnists at the rising graph of the worst situation in Kashmir is extremely sad and discouraging.
Meanwhile, Continuing with its anti-Kashmir colonial agenda, the Bharatiya Janata Party-led Indian regime has attached properties of six more Kashmiris in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir.
Since the violation of international laws by the Indian government and illegal revocation of IIOJK’s special status in August 2019, the Indian BJP government has confiscated hundreds of properties belonging to Kashmiris, citing various pretexts.
This ongoing campaign is widely seen as an attempt to economically destabilize Kashmiris and alter the region’s demographic composition by settling non-Kashmiris in their land.
